A little plug for Irish Tree week 2008– I did the Irish ‘local project’ art- tree project awhile back and had been meaning to get it online for ages -hence this blog too. Although the ‘local project’ exhibition at The Dock in Co Leitrim and seminar were warmly received, only people in Leitrim really had access to it, mind you the Head of the Forest service did attend. I did screen it at Cultivate, Temple Bar in Dublin, but bad time of year near xmas meant it wasn’t the best in terms of getting an audience. Also a lot of you may not been able to attend screening. I still feel proud to have had opportunity to document this important project; beginner foresters with their young trees ( I remember clearly some of these trees being planted when I first came to Ireland almost 13 years ago).
