In late 2018, realising the urgent need to share ecoliteracy learning with the arts sector following my doctoral art and ecology practice research, and having a unique background in research science as well as contemporary art practice, I investigated a key concern that I noted in the conclusion of my PhD. That there is an overlooked potential to reach creative workers about urgent ecological learning.
In 2019, I was very grateful to the Carlow Enterprise Board for assisting in my evaluations to develop an online Ecoversity, and to the Carlow Arts Office to develop a 1-day seminar on this topic in my county.
Please visit Haumea Ecoversity.ie for more details if you are interested in applying ecological insights to your creative practice, for your arts organisation or your community artwork. Queries welcomed.
